Sustainability

Please help us to make DeuKo as sustainable as possible! You can always make a contribution:

Bring Your Own Cup: Bring your own water bottle or thermos flask for water and coffee/tea. We do not provide glasses or cups on site!

How to get there: Plan your journey by public transport or organize carpools

Sticker/Flyer: Note the sticker ban for the walls in the engine plant

DB event ticket
We were able to arrange an event ticket for you with DB. The ticket price is fixed via the DB event ticket, no matter where you come from. Very good for all late bookers. However, it will probably be cheaper if you book a group ticket with your Rotaract Club.

  • One-way ticket with train connection: € 59
  • One-way ticket without train connection: € 82

You can book a ticket here: https://www.veranstaltungsticket-bahn.de/?event=26262&language=de

Thank you for supporting us in making DeuKo sustainable.

Social Project

We have two projects that you can take part in for DeuKo 2025.

🌍💉🎉 Collect. Help. Win! 🎉

As part of the Germany 2025 Conference in Berlin, we are launching a special social campaign:
Bottle caps against Polio!
Together with End Polio Now, we are actively fighting against the childhood disease, polio.

🤝 Here’s how you can get involved:

🔸Collect metal bottle caps (e.g. from cans or bottles).
🔸Take them to one of the collection points at the conference.
🔸500 lids = 1 life-saving vaccination!

🏅Reward for your commitment:
The most diligent collectors will be awarded and receive great prizes as a thank you for their commitment!

💬 Why it’s important:
Polio is incurable, but preventable. Your contribution helps to eradicate the disease for good.

Donations in kind for the Berlin station mission

LOCATIONS

Main location

The conference will take place at the MOTORWERK in Berlin Weissensee. The Motorwerk Berlin is a building ensemble in the Berlin district of Weissensee, An der Industriebahn 12, which consists of an event hall, art studios and co-working spaces. The hall was built as a factory building for the production of electric motors and was known as Halle Weißensee in the 1990s.

Learn more...

The listed ensemble was built from 1921 by Bruno Buch and Karl Herrmann for Ziehl-Abegg Elektrizitätsgesellschaft.
Pioneering special electric motors (external rotor) were manufactured in the complex until the Second World War. These give today’s motor factory its name. In addition, converters were manufactured to equip the first airships that crossed the Atlantic. Later, the F.-T. generators, also developed at Ziehl-Abegg, were used in all Zeppelin airships and Lufthansa aircraft.
In the GDR, electric motors and dynamos continued to be produced and repaired on the site. The subplants of VEB Isokond and VEB Starkstrom-Anlagenbau were housed there. Both state-owned companies produced electrical products.
After the political change, the building was known as Die Halle for its concerts and events. Germany’s first Mayday took place there in 1991. In addition to numerous other techno events in the following years, Kraftwerk, The Velvet Underground, Motörhead, Marianne Rosenberg, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Zucchero, the Ramones and many more also performed there. Wim Wenders filmed the concert scene of the movie In weit Ferne, so nah! in this building, in which Lou Reed sings Why can’t I be good. (Source: WIKIPEDIA)

    FAQ

The FAQ is incomplete? No problem, we will be happy to add to it with further questions, just send us an E-Mail.

Until when can I still book a ticket?

You can book your ticket until 15.03.. This must be paid for by 17.03. at the latest in order to be valid. In other cases we will unfortunately have to cancel your ticket.

    Is there a dress code?

Our Welcome Party starts on 21.03. at 9 pm. Three floors, three DJs and a perfect mix of techno and mainstream are waiting for you! Come in typical Berlin style – a black outfit that gives you the freedom to dance the night away. For example, a simple black T-shirt will suffice. And remember: you can then dress up for the gala evening on Saturday, whether in a suit or evening dress. There will be plenty of Aperol at the start, so we’re counting on you to celebrate in style 🙂 Let’s shake the dance floor together!

How can I get help at DeuKo if I or my friends are not feeling well?

We have drawn up a safety concept for DeuKo in Berlin, which can be found here (link to DeuKo for all): we have an awareness team on site with many Feel Good Managers and thus sufficient contact persons from whom help can be requested. Among other things, we have a quiet room in the Motorwerk where you can retreat. There is also an SOS QR code on the official DeuKo admission wristband via our sponsor Safety.brands, which can be used to view the telephone numbers of our awareness team, for example.

What is the specific program for the DeuKo?

You can find the preliminary program for the plenary session and the entire weekend here.

    Which ones will there be?

At DeuKo we are implementing two different social campaigns. One is in the area of EndPolioNow and another in the area of homeless assistance in Berlin. We hope to support both an international and a local project and meet specific needs in these areas. You can find more information here.

Where can I find all important information about DeuKo in one place during the DeuKo?

You can use our link: https://linktr.ee/deuko2025

Is there anything to eat in ÆDEN?

No, we do not offer any food here, please take care of your own dinner, Berlin has enough culinary options to offer. There are countless bars, restaurants, etc. near the club.

Is there anything to eat at the Motorwerk?

Yes, on Saturday, the main day of the plenary, we have both lunch and dinner provided by our caterer Amrit. Amrit offers delicious Indian vegetarian/vegan food on site via two food trucks.

Can I book an overnight stay through you?

There are two options for overnight stays: hotel through us or an independent Airbnb/hotel booking. For hotel rooms, we have a link to our partner hotel, which you can find here. The booking with the hotel is then made directly through you and not through us.

    When can I register?

The first registration phase will open on November 11, 2024 at 8:00 p.m. All German Rotaractors will receive an email with the necessary information beforehand. If you miss the first registration phase, don’t worry too much. There will be other opportunities to register.

How can I book my free place?

To ensure that every club has the chance to be represented at the DEUKO and to be able to vote, there are two free DEUKO places per Rotaract club. It is best to vote in your club on which two active members of yours will take up the places when registering. Before the first registration, we will send an email with all the information about the free places to the board of each club. If you have not paid your club bill, you cannot book your free place. Please transfer the amount promptly so that we can activate your place!

I am an Interactor / Rotarian / Rotexer. Can I participate in the DeuKo?

Of course! Every member of the Rotary family is welcome. However, you must be of legal age to participate in the evening events.

I am a guest in a Rotaract club. Can I take part in the DeuKo?

Of course! We’d be delighted if you’d like to learn more about Rotaract. You’re very welcome, of course. Please state which club you’re a guest of when you register.

I am a minor. Can I come to DeuKo?

You are very welcome in the plenum. But only adults can attend the evening events.

How can I exchange my card?

Tickets can only be exchanged and re-personalized until February 21st. This will no longer be possible from February 21st. If a ticket is not yet personalized, you can simply pass your ticket on.
If it is already personalized and the data needs to be changed, you can do this yourself via Ticketpay. You will find all the information about this in the email you received with your order.
Free tickets can only be re-personalized within the same club (active & members on leave).
If you have any questions, please contact: deuko@rotaract.de

    Is there a waiting list?

No. However, there are ticket waves, during which a certain number of tickets are released for sale. If these are sold out, you can try again at the next date.
As soon as payment deadlines have passed, unpaid tickets will be released again for the next registration period.
The date will be announced in good time via the Rotaract Germany mailing list and on our Instagram page and website. Ticket sales are currently open.

What happens if I don't transfer the money for my ticket on time?

If you have not transferred the money within ten working days of your booking, your booking will be cancelled and your ticket will be released to other guests.

My booking was cancelled, but I am sure that I have transferred the money. Where can I report this?

Please send us an email to deuko@rotaract.de with your full name and booking number and we will be happy to check your request.

    I didn't receive a confirmation email, what's the problem?

Please send us an email to deuko@rotaract.de with your full name and we will review your request.

My grandma is visiting this weekend. Can she take part in the DeuKo with me?

Of course! We welcome all interested people 😉
